Our Journey
The Plugyy team members have been operating in the sustainable energy sector for 20 years. Over the years we have worked together and separately on many different projects, such as providing corporate PPAs and energy solutions for large energy consumers, supporting local authorities with their city wide de-carbonisation plans, developing and installing solar PV and wind generation, e-mobility solutions and sustainable heat projects including heat pumps and solar thermal.

Our Leadership
Shimon Shoshani
Shimon is Plugyy’s Commercial Director and has worked in the renewable energy and power sector since 2004. In his previous role, Shimon was Europe’s Head of Distributed Energy for Marubeni (one of Japan’s largest general trading and investment companies) where he started up and led the distributed energy business, supporting companies and Cities with their energy transition to net zero. Previously, Shimon was founder and director of a battery storage company providing services for large commercial & industrial customers. He was the UK head of onshore wind at Statkraft (one of Europe’s largest generators of renewable energy) and has held various technical, commercial and project management roles in the UK, Germany, and Israel. He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering and MSc in Renewable Energy.
Imran Khan
Imran is Plugyy’s Operations Director and has worked in the renewable energy industry for over 15 years. In his previous role, Imran worked as a consultant for Marubeni, heading up the EV Charging and V2G innovation start up and supporting businesses in the UK and Europe with their E-Mobility and Net-Zero decarbonisation journey, leveraging his extensive procurement and construction background in the renewable energy industry. Previously, Imran was the owner of an EPC company, delivering turnkey solutions in solar PV, heat pumps, solar thermal and M&E projects for businesses and public sector organisations. He has consulted and held executive positions with leading energy companies and investors in the UK and Europe, including Centrica, CHN (owned by E.ON), Conergy, Sonnenkraft and SolarTwin.
